How the estimate works
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Speaking speed | 14 characters per second, about 150 words a minute |
| Shortest video | 3 seconds |
| Longest video | 5 minutes at 720p, 2 minutes at 1080p |
| Cost | 1 credit per second at 720p, 2 at 1080p |
| Final charge | follows the real rendered length, rounded up to a whole second |
Voices differ: a slow, warm voice runs longer than a fast one, so leave a little room.
Write a script that sounds natural
- Aim for 10 to 20 seconds on a first try. That is 140 to 280 characters.
- Use short sentences. A full stop gives the voice a natural pause.
- Write numbers as people say them: "twelve hours", not "12h".
- Read it out loud once. If you run out of breath, split the sentence.
